Using the aggregate scan data supplied from retail partners, Karhu constructs a running shoe that accounts for noted differences in data points. A closer data analysis reveals runners don’t necessarily require a shoe that is simply wider, but one that can accommodate for unique foot characteristics. Thus, the HiVo option provides additional room for the foot to feel comfortable and to transition naturally.

To improve the fit and performance for 2020, we went back to the scan data and to develop an all new upper. The upper now features a seamlessly engineered Ideal Knit mesh with zones constructed for breathability. Based on the 3D scans, the lacing system is designed with an anatomical shape to provide better support. The asymmetrical lace design follows the contour of the foot for additional comfort.

Outfitted with a half length fulcrum and cushioned AeroFoam midsole, the Ikoni provides a quick transition and smooth ride. The Ikoni works for many types of runners ranging from the casual fitness enthusiast to the athlete putting in serious weekly mileage. The Ikoni offers a light on foot feel and smooth transition off the flexible forefoot design.
